ANCESTRAL CIRCLE
is a non-profit educational organization based in Northern California, dedicated to the work of helping people reconnect to their ancient ancestral Earth-connected Spirituality.

It is our belief that all people of the industrialized countries on this planet originally came from a tribal culture that was only able to exist in ancient times by virtue of being able to live in balance with all other forms of life.  This balance was maintained through an awareness of the natural order of things, a respect for the forces of creation that flow through all things, and the appropriate use of ceremony as a way to affect healing, focus transforming energy, request direction, and give thanks to the Spirit forces of the world.

In our world today it is all too easy to get out of balance in the way we exploit the natural resources of our planet and view our connection with nature as one of convenience.  That is to say, all life continues to live or die at our convenience.  This view is rapidly getting us more deeply into trouble, as long as we ignore the dire consequences of our acts.

It is from this place that the teaching staff here at ANCESTRAL CIRCLE endeavor to encourage people from all ethnic backgrounds to reconnect with their ancient ancestral Earth-connected Spirituality.  We offer various activities and trainings here in the Northern California area and in Europe, to assist in this process. Our own focus comes from a pre-Hibernian, ancient Irish or European influence.  The teachers on our staff have studied with a great number of people from many indigenous tribal backgrounds.  This personal training has helped us as teachers to form the basis for the exploration we are on, in our continuing effort to discover the Spiritual connection that is right for each one of us.

It is our hope that people who participate in our programs will be inspired in ways that will encourage them to find the magic and power in their own lives, so that they can, in turn, lead and inspire others to reconnect with our world in beautiful, healing ways.

What would our tribal Grandfathers
have to say
that men of today
should know?
Spoken in lowered tones
of paternal wisdom,
what would our ancestral Fathers say?

What words would they send
across the reaches of Time,
what glowing embers of Truth
would they lend us
from their council fires?

Lost in the smoke of our confusion
so much must be found;
knowledge of family loyalty,
honor for our mates,
respect for strangers,
balance in the ways we walk
upon our troubled world.

Our Tribal Grandfathers knew
the ways we’ve lost and more,
gave their teachings
with a loving heart
to protect and
to keep their families strong.

Lost in the depths of our illusions,
it is hard to know
what makes a man wise,
and what does not,
But the old ones knew,
and we, their distant sons,
must listen hard.
